Marcy greeted us from the ample front porch of her 100-year-old Craftsman home. Besides being a lot easier to maintain, she is really pleased that her new home in Heartwood Commons will have a spacious front porch as well. She explained how she will arrange the black wrought iron table and chairs on her new front porch and how the light will stream in from the pitched roof overhang. Sitting there with her morning coffee or her early evening glass of wine she might also invite a neighbor over for a meal or a good conversation. They can swap stories about gardening, books or the latest on-line symposium she has listened to while working on craft projects.  Check out this funky Victorian style beaded lampshade she made which she will sell at the flea market. There will never be a dull moment with her around the neighborhood.
